Assistant Psychologist Band 4 Job Description
- Low/Medium secure Learning Disabilities Service
- Carrying out observations and assessments with service users under the guidance of a qualified psychologist
- Carrying out pscyhosocial interventions under the guidance of a qualified psychologist
- Creating materials to support the work of others in the team and wider service (eg patient booklets, group materials/resources)
- Contribuing to service audits and research including the collection and analysis of statistical data
- Undertaking literature reviews for the service
- Assisting with the organisation of training provided by the team
- ASAP start until May 2021
- Full time:Monday to Friday
- Up to £16 per hour depending on experience and banding
Requirements
- Must have BPS accredited or eligible Upper Second Class Honours degree (2:1) in Psychology including degree level research modules and research project
- Relevant experience of an Assistant Psychologist post in either paid or voluntary services
- Experience of working with people preferably within mental health/learning disabilty services
- Experience working in a forensic setting would be highly desirable
- DBS or Police Check
