Clinical Psychologist Band 7 / 8a Job Description
- Mother and Baby Unit - Acute setting
- Working within the ward teams to deliver psychologically informed care for mothers and babies, with focus on specialist assessment and formulation, with some therapeutic work
- Mothers have a range of presentations including postpartum psychosis, severe post-natal depression and severe post-natal anxiety as well as mothers with mild learning disabilities and or neurodevelopmental disorder
- Pain Management Service across two sites
- Working 3 days per week
- 3 months
- Up to £34 per hour depending on experience and banding
Requirements
- Required to offer group interventions on the ward
- Required to offer reflective practice for the team members as well as individual supervision to other team members
- Required to contribute to ward rounds, management meetings and safeguarding meetings
- Must be a qualified clinical psychologist (doctoral level of training)
- A genuine interest in working with mothers and babies and in infant mental health is essential for this role
- DBS or Police Check
- Registered with HCPC
