Biomedical Scientist Job Description

• Speciality - MLA
• Location - Kingston
• Start date - ASAP
• Contract Length - Ongoing
• Pay Rate - £15.75
• Band 3
• The post holder will assist all other members of staff in the provision of an efficient and effective service to all users of the Immunology service and in particular o Participate in the provision of a comprehensive range of scientific and diagnostic services across a range of work areas within Virology o Be responsible for sample preparation and storage o Be responsible for sending referral requests and receiving and booking in results o Operate sophisticated, automated laboratory equipment and perform manual techniques under supervision o The diagnostic work of the department includes processing, for example, blood, cerebrospinal fluid, urine and faeces, serological investigations include, for example, HIV and Hepatitis testing

Requirements

• 1 year(s) post graduate experience
• Valid Passport/Visa
• Fully compliant and cleared to work
• DBS or Police Check
• HCPC Registered
