Doctor Job Description

• Speciality - Specialty Doctor Psychiatry | CAMHS  
• Location - North East England
• Start date - ASAP
• Contract Length - Permanent (12-month Fixed-Term)
• Pay Rate - £59,000 to £95,000 per annum
• We are recruiting two Specialty Doctors to join our dynamic CAMHS services in the North East of England. These roles are ideal for psychiatrists looking to develop experience in neurodevelopmental and general CAMHS practice within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric assessments and treatment planning for children and adolescents presenting with a range of mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Participate in the ADHD and ASD diagnostic pathways alongside MDT colleagues.
• Work closely with local authority services, schools, and paediatrics to support joined-up care.
• Attend safeguarding meetings and contribute to risk assessments and care planning.
• CESR support is available for international applicants.

Requirements

• 1-2 year(s) specialist experience
• Valid Passport/Visa
• Fully compliant and cleared to work (we can help with this)
• DBS/Police Check
• MBBS or equivalent
• GMC registration

Desirable

• MRCPsych OR MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
