Doctor Job Description

• Speciality - Anaesthetic Consultant (Substantive)
• Location - South West England
• Start date - ASAP
• Contract Length - Permanent/Full-time
• Pay Rate - £105,000 - £139,000 per annum
• We are seeking a motivated Consultant Anaesthetist to take up a substantive post within our busy and progressive department. We deliver services across general and specialist theatres, maternity, critical care, and pain management, with a strong educational ethos.
• This role offers the opportunity to become involved in teaching, simulation training, and clinical research, supported by a well-established training programme. You will participate in the on-call rota for emergency and obstetric theatres and supervise junior staff.
• With a flexible and negotiable job plan, this post is ideal for a clinician who wants to combine clinical excellence with education, innovation, and leadership.

Requirements

• 1-2 year(s) specialist experience
• Valid Passport/Visa
• Fully compliant and cleared to work (we can help with this)
• DBS/Police Check
• MB ChB, MBBS or equivalent
• MRCP, FRCA or equivalent
• Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligible for registration within six months of interview
