Doctor Job Description

• Speciality - Anaesthetic Consultant (Substantive)
• Location - North West England
• Start date - ASAP
• Contract Length - Permanent/Full-time
• Pay Rate - £105,000 - £139,000 per annum
• An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Anaesthetist with a special interest in Obstetrics or Regional Anaesthesia to join our expanding team. The department offers a supportive environment with opportunities for subspecialty development, teaching, and innovation.
• You’ll work across a broad range of theatres, including obstetrics, general surgery, trauma, and elective services, and be involved in shaping the service in line with your clinical interests. The department provides anaesthesia for both elective and emergency care, with active involvement in maternity and critical care pathways.
• You’ll also take part in departmental audit, clinical governance, teaching, and mentoring. Flexible working options can be explored during job planning discussions.

Requirements

• 1-2 year(s) specialist experience
• Valid Passport/Visa
• Fully compliant and cleared to work (we can help with this)
• DBS/Police Check
• MB ChB, MBBS or equivalent
• MRCP, FRCA or equivalent
• Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligible for registration within six months of interview
