Doctor Job Description

• Speciality - Consultant Anaesthetist 
• Location - South East England
• Start date - ASAP
• Contract Length - 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
• Pay Rate - £105,000 - £139,000 per annum
• We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Locum Consultant Anaesthetist to join our friendly and supportive Anaesthetic Department on a fixed-term basis (12 months). This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain consultant-level experience in a busy district general hospital with a broad case mix and strong multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality anaesthetic care for elective and emergency procedures
• Provide clinical leadership in the operating theatre and maternity suite
• Lead assessment and management of deteriorating patients requiring critical care support
• Engage in departmental governance, audit, and teaching activity
• Support junior medical staff and contribute to a culture of learning

Requirements

• 1-2 year(s) specialist experience
• Valid Passport/Visa
• Fully compliant and cleared to work (we can help with this)
• DBS/Police Check
• MB ChB, MBBS or equivalent
• MRCP, FRCA or equivalent
• GMC-registered or eligible for GMC registration with a licence to practice at time of appointment
