Speech & Language Therapy Job Description:

• Caseload approx. 25
• Some MLD (approx. 2 wheelchair users with AAC) ASD ASD with learning difficulties Fragile X Klinefelter syndrome
• Access level: introduction to work and independent life skills (entry level 3)
• Types of intervention ideally experience in
• 1:1 session of AAC adding vocabulary to app and modelling use to LSA x 2 students
• In class modelling general strategies and visuals to LSAs x 5 students
• Implementing social stories and visual timetable x 1 student. 1:1 modelling session to TA
• Modelling social skills interaction to LSAs at break
• Review assessment observation discussion with teacher + parent + review report + targets x approx. 10
• students
• Ad hoc making classrooms more communication friendly
• SaLT has created training on social stories and lego therapy for college to access
• Ongoing
• Band 6

Requirements:

* HCPC registered

* DBS

* Valid visa/passport

* 2 years post grad experience
