A Marathon Target For James French

A Marathon Target

Having a physiology and healthcare background, working within the NHS, coming across a large number of individuals with various conditions of ill health, it has always made me want to do more to help people however I can. Being associated with the healthcare sector so closely in my current role here with Globe, I appreciate my health and good fortune and so feel compelled to use this in a productive way. I will be challenging myself this year, by running in the London Marathon on Sunday 26th April.

I have been putting the miles of training in but have many more to go until the big day. London really is the big one for me! I've been waiting to do this for some time, following a couple of unsuccessful entries through the ballot previously. I need to raise as much money as possible for this big occasion - it's such a great event for raising money for good causes and I have committed to my chosen charity - The Children's Trust.

The Children's Trust support children with brain injuries. Their vision is to make sure that all children with brain injury have the opportunity to live the best life possible. Many have complex health needs and disabilities. Take a look at their site here: thechildrenstrust.org.uk Added to this, I'm trying to get a time of under 3 hours for a new Marathon PB! I have done a couple before, but this is home turf for me, and needs a good performance!

If you can please help me by donating whatever you can, The Children's Trust and I would be very grateful indeed.
Donate online here: uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JamesFrench6 or get in touch to find out more.

Thanks very much!
James
